Charlotte Says Goodbye to Her Little Friend

Right before we left Korea Charlotte informed us she had a bump on her tongue. A friend of ours happened to the Oral Surgeon at Osan so we nipped it off before we left. Sadly,  the mucocele grew back a few weeks later. After waiting a few months and hearing her complain about her new little friend, we finally jumped through the loops of referrals and made it to the Oral surgeon at Ramstein AB.

I had a lapse of memory and let her eat an egg that morning which meant they would have to delay the surgery a few hours so we went to the BX and walked around.

There is not much to do in the BX but take selfies and say sorry to Charlotte that there are delicious smells of foods she could not eat.

After wasting some time we were back and ready.

Once she had a game in her hand she didn't even flinch when the doc put the IV in her arm.

The procedure went well but it took a while to recover...

We hung out for about 1.5 hours before I felt comfortable enough having her ride in the back seat without anyone.

Once she could walk and talk to me without appearing as drunk as a skunk we made it home. I am grateful to the dental team in all their preparations and skill. I am grateful they didn't cancel our case on the account of an egg. And most of all I am grateful for her good attitude about the whole experience.
