Jari made Gingerbread cookies with the girls tonight. While decorating them Charlotte exclaimed,"Oh look at what Hazel is doing! She is doing such a good job. It looks wonderful." I was real happy to hear this encouragement coming from Charlotte. Then came the follow up commentary as it set in what she had just done, "Well it's not quite as good as mine but it's ok...."
Sigh. Its just hard to be second place at anything for her.
We are getting there. Just have to keep faith our counseling to be kind will yield results.
