Friendship Festival

The annual Korean - American Friendship Festival has come and gone marking not only the passage of time in general but a year point in Korea. This summer was our second summer here but the trips home made the time pass so quickly I didn't think about how fast time is going already until just recently. This October also marks one year of Charlotte being in school.

This year was different than last year. Cooler weather and fewer vendors. We didn't spend much time out there but did manage to find some tasty things to share. First up was chicken on a stick.

You just pick the sauce you want and paint it on. The sweet sauce was the only way to go for the kids as the other sauces were quite spicy.

Zachary and mom mostly watched this one. However, we found some great street tacos after that.

Girls convinced me to play a game.

Not sure how safe it is at this point to let her have darts.

Yes, the blue dart on the black animal paw was her toss.

A little daddy help.

This is truly all Charlotte wanted.

Bedtime and watching the nice Turkish man stir the Turkish ice cream.

Hazel was happy for sweetness also.

Overall it was a fun/happy evening. Not quite as busy as it was last year but still fun.

That's how cotton candy was when I was a girl. Lots of it on a paper cone. I looked forward to it every year. Now it comes in a bag and only a small fraction of the amount. That's how it is here. Glad to see that some places still do it right.😊 It's great to see your family having fun together!

I agree with Diane. So glad you are having fun and yes, that's real cotton candy! The children are adorable and their parents, ah, so wonderful. Thanks for who you are! And happy one year anniversary in school, Charlotte!
