A quick memory to record -
Today I took Charlotte with me to the post office on base to mail packages home for Christmas. After we were done she begged me to go play in a small play area attached to the BX (Base Exchange, essentially an expensive Target with far fewer selections). On our way in I saw Santa and assumed Charlotte would be excited to see him. When I asked if she wanted to say hello she replied with a definite 'no'. However, once it was discovered he was giving out candy canes her tune changed and she was overly excited. It amazes me that a 6 yr old would have more interest in a peppermint candy cane than Santa but such is the fact - Charlotte loves peppermint candy.
