West Coast South Korea with the Ricks Family

One of our favorite families we spent time with in South Korea were the Ricks. He was a lawyer with the Army and spoke Korean which was super helpful. Their family was super cool and they were always up for an adventure so one day when they invited us on a quick west coast trip we of course said yes and packed the van and hit the road.

I am posting these pictures 3.5 years after we took them so I don't recall the exact location we went to but we made a few stops.

Stop #1 was at an old railroad that had carts you could sit in and peddle like a bike to take a quick 2 Km tour out and back.

It was right on the coast so the views were great

Zach was  a little small to sit in his own seat so he rode with me

Hazel was on my side

Along the way there were pit stops where you could go and buy refreshments

The kids were really happy to share some ice cream

I love this lady!

The most strange part of the railroad ride were the tunnels with lots of lights and loud music

It was REALY loud. The lights flashed as well... it was not all that kid friendly but they did OK.

Fishing nets drying in the sun

Zach climbed up to ride with Heidi and Jari snuggled with Camille.

Lunch was really fun. Jarom Ricks found this random restaurant which I am pretty sure was designed to handle older couples, not young American families so all I can say is thanks to the restaurant for their willingness to take care of us.

Next stop, the beach!

Charlotte LOVES the beach.

Kids collected a lot of small seashells which was fun

What a fun day. I was so grateful that Heidi and Jarom Ricks were in Korea at the same time we were. They orchestrated some fun trips for which I will be forever grateful.
