Gongju with Dan/William Petrie

We recently were blessed to have Daniel (Jari's brother) and his son, William Petrie, come visit us in South Korea. Unfortunately, I had to work most days they were here but on one day we were able to sneak out to Gongju to visit an old Korean fortress.

It was sunny but not too hot. Sadly we left the baby carrier at home so we just carried this little beauty.

There were 5 principal flags around the 2-mile circumference of the fort, each featuring an animal that represented a cardinal direction and one overall to protect the fort.

Zachary did surprisingly well. He did hitch a ride every now again with Daniel.

Here is Hazel following a path to a water well.

Some silly time.

Hazel and Zachary enjoying the fountains.

Here is a little map showing the town vs Peongtaek where we live.

Did not make spectacular time (2.14 miles in 2 hrs and 13 min) but it was fun.
