Grandma Nielson came to visit us twice while we lived in Germany and each time the kids were so excited to host her. She is a fantastic woman who showed so much love and care for the kids before her trip via preparation and while she was in Germany as they engaged in activities and enjoyed one another's company.
One of the trips we made was to Cologne to see the cathedral there.

We decided to hike the tower and see the bells. The kids had a good time hiking with Grandma.
Just a few months later COVID-19 would take over the world and moments like this would not be possible due to the close contact you have with people when climbing bell towers. I am glad she came when she did to allow for that opportunity

On our way back we stopped by the Haribo outlet to pick up some snacks for people back home. I think Zachary's find of the Haribo Anaconda was the best. Not every day you get a giant gummy snake!
