Summer time in Alaska brings long days of light and beautiful views. It also brings MOSQUITOES! So the best way to enjoy the long awaited warmth and summer views is to push out on to the lake in a kayak where the mosquitoes don't venture. We decided it would be worth it to purchase some kayaks and spend a summer exploring. Our original goal was go kayak in at least 9 lakes, but illness and other trips interrupted the attempt to achieve that goal. All the same we enjoyed the time together as a family out on the water
